Schoot off for classes!

Today, we begin our first classes. We start with dancing at 6 p.m. on the 3^rd floor in a Center for Physical Education and Sports WUT. At 8 p.m. in Headquarters of the Ensemble there will be singing classes.

Concert in Teatr Komedia

We would like to invite you to our next concert “Mallows bloom beneath the window” (PL: “A pod oknem malwy kwitną”)! It will take place in Teatr Komedia, ul. Słowackiego 19a, on 26th May at 7PM. During the concert the Foundation Malwa, thanks to the undertaking called “bands of hearts” (PL: “Kapele serc”) will hold a fundraising to build a home for mentally disabled. Invitations are available at the office of the Ensemble!

Competition of “Kara Mazurowe”

1st National Competition of Kara Mazurowe took place in Józefów on 25th and 26th of April. Our “Karo” was awarded with second place on the podium! Whereas our debut group received 4th place! The Oldboys group was also awarded in this competition – they received the 3rd place! The competition applied also to Free Polish Dance Composition. Our dancers – Agata Szulc and Mateusz Pałyska took second place in this competition! Congratulations to all the dancers. We are proud of your breath-taking presentations. We would also like to thank Mr Jarosław Wojciechowski who composed so innovative and interesting choreographies, which are the tournament showcase of our team.

Midterm recruitment 2015

We would like to invite you to the midterm recruitment to the following groups: dancing, singing and a band! You will get to know new people, you will learn how to dance and sing, you will travel abroad and spend fantastic time! 2 March – take your sport suit and good humor!

If you want to dance, sing and play with us come to the next edition of recruitment 2014! 13.10 and 14.10 in DS Riviera, A2 floor. Rehearsal to the band will be held 13.10 at 6 PM (the same place). Trainings of beginners’ group will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6 – 10 PM, band trainings: Tuesdays and Fridays at 6 – 9 PM

We feel honored you've piked out Ensemble. For those who did not succeed: we hope that your adventure with dancing hasn’t ended yet. There are already girls in the group who've been dancing in the Ensemble last year. There won't be any additional recruitment.

A lot happens!
Our Białe Karo Mazurowe will perform during the Jubilee of MCC Mazurkas in Ożarów Mazowiecki,
while Mała Aula in Warsaw University of Technology will be filled with our student’s singing during
the Chancellor’s Promotions.

XV National Festival of Christmas Songs and Carols


XV National Festival of Christmas Songs and Carols The XV edition of National Festival of Christmas Songs and Carols “Our everlasting caroling” (PL: Nasze wieczne kolędowanie) took place in Teresin on 24 January. Among more than 60 performers – our band was awarded! Congratulations!

Our next concert “From sunrise to sunset” (PL: Od wschodu do zachodu słońca) will take place in Wawerskie Centrum Kultury, ul. Żegańska 1a on 13 December at 6 PM We will present 40 minutes of dance and song spectacle with gorgeous live music performed by more than 50 artists. During the spectacle you will be able to see artistically presented elements of traditional farm works, i.a.: threshing, washing, cleaning, tree-cutting and sewing. These activities are combined with choreographic images from various regions, i.a.: Wielkopolska, Żywiec Highlanders (PL: górale), Kurpie and Krosno. The spectacle will be preceded by presentation of folk costumes on the catwalk. You will also have the opportunity to see the exhibitions of our Ensemble during the concert.
